Profile

Q. How do I change my username, email ID and password?

Ans. You cannot change your username and primary email ID. You can change your password by doing the following:
  • Sign into The Zuk.
  • Click the Accounts link located on the top menu bar.
  • In the newly opened page you will see the following options: Change Password.
  • Click on the link and make your changes using the options provided

Q. How do I edit my profile?

Ans. You can edit your profile by doing the following:
  • Click the Profile link in the top menu bar.
  • Select the section you want to edit from the right menu.
Make the changes you wish in each of the sections, and then click the Save button.

Q. Can anyone know that I have visited their profile?

Ans. The Zuk does not enable its users to see who visited their profile. So if you visit someone's profile, the person will not be notified. However, if you do not have the person added as a pal, you can only see the information that has been made publicly available by the persons profile you are visiting.

Q. Can I control who views my profile information?

Ans. Yes, you have complete control over your profile details. You can edit the settings for each field by visiting the edit profile section.

Q. How can I set my mood?

Ans. Click on the Mood Today icon and select the particular emoticon as per your mood

Q. How do I buzz my status?

Ans. You can buzz your status by typing on the left panel and then clicking on Buzz

Q.Do I get ZECs for filling out my profile?

Ans. Yes, you get ZECs for filling out your profile. The more information you fill, the more ZECs you will get. However, if you delete the information, the ZECs will also be deleted from your account.

Pals

Q. How do I add pals already on The Zuk?

Ans. To add a pal already on The Zuk, you need to:
  • Search for your pal's profile using the search bar at the top of your profile.
  • Find the person you know
  • Click on the "Add as a Pal" button to the right of their profile name. A pal request will be sent to that person. Once they confirm that they actually are pals with you, they will show up on your pals list.

Q. How do I add pals who are not registered on thezuk.com?

Ans. You can send invitations to your pals using the Add a Friend box on the bottom left of your home page. If they join thezuk.com , they will be added to your PayTree and will appear on your pal list.

Q. How do I delete a pal?

Ans. To delete a pal, you need to:
  • Select the pals option from the left hand side of your profile.
  • Navigate to the pal's you want to delete.
  • Select the CROSS ("×") button beside the pal's name.

Q. If I delete a pal, will he/she be notified?

Ans. No, but all pal links are reciprocal, so you will be removed from their list of pals as well.

Q. What are mutual pals?

Ans. Mutual pals are the people who are pals with both you and the person whose profile you are viewing on The Zuk. For e.g.: If John is your pal and Rita is John's pal then when you will view Rita's profile, John will be shown as a mutual pal.

Messages

Q. How do I send a message?

Ans. To send a message, you need to:

  • Click on Inbox on the top menu bar
  • Select the Write Message option
  • Select the recipients
  • Add a subject
  • Type the message
  • Click on the Submit button

Q. How can I check new messages?

Ans. Click on the Inbox button at the top menu bar. You will find all your messages there.

Q. Can I block someone from sending me messages?

Ans. Only your pals can send you messages on The Zuk and if you want to block your pal from sending you messages then you have to delete them.

Q. Can I send messages to people who are not registered with thezuk.com?

Ans. No, you cannot send messages to people who are not registered with thezuk.com


Photos and Videos

Q. How do I create a new photo album?

Ans. You can create a new photo album by clicking on the photos link on the left bar, and then clicking on create a new album.

Q. How do I upload photos to an existing album?

Ans. To upload photos to an existing album you need to:
  • Click on photos on the left bar on your home page
  • Click on the album to which you want to add photos
  • Click on the Add Photos button
  • Click on the Upload a image button
  • Select the image and click on Open

Q. How do I add or change a profile picture?

Ans. To add or change your profile picture, you need to:
  • Select the profile option on the top of your home page.
  • Select the Profile picture on the right hand side
  • Select which image you want to add or change
  • Browse & select the image from your system
  • Click on the Upload button
  • Drag and select the Thumbnail Image
  • Select the Save thumbnail button
To remove your current profile picture without adding a new one, select "Delete Image" button which comes on hovering over the current photo.

Q. How do I edit the privacy settings for my photo albums/individual photos?

Ans.While creating the album, you can choose your privacy settings for the same. You can also edit the settings by clicking on edit under your albums. There's an icon for privacy settings. You can click on it to customize your privacy settings.

Q. How to share a video on The Zuk?

Ans. To share a video on the Zuk: Go to your homepage Click on the Video link (preferably youtube, vimeo, facebook, metacafe, bliptv, etc) just beside your profile picture Give the video link a description Change the privacy with audience selector Click on Share

Awesome and Punch

Q. What is the Awesomeness Bar?

Ans."Awesome" is a way to say that you find a piece of content cool whereas "Punch" is a way to show your lack of interest in that on the zuk.com. You can "awesome"/"punch" content, photos, videos, etc that your pals buzz. Clicking "Awesome or Punch" Button under something you or a pal posts on The Zuk is an easy way to let someone know that you enjoy it or disliked it, without leaving a comment.

Q. What happens when I "Awesome or Punch" a piece of content buzzed by a pal?

Ans. Awesome is a way to give a positive feedback about a certain buzz/photo/video/comment whereas Punch is a way to give negative feedback. If you click on awesome, one point is added to your pals' buzz/photo/video/comment. If you click on punch, one point is subtracted from your pals buzz.

Q. How do I remove an "awesome" or a "punch"?

Ans. You can remove an "awesome" by clicking on punch. You can remove a "punch" by clicking on awesome.

Q. How many times can I click on awesome or punch?

Ans. You can click only once on either awesome or punch. Clicking multiple times will not change the count of the buzz.

Polls

Q. How to create a new poll?

Ans. To create a New Poll, you need to do the following:
  • Click on polls on the left bar on your home page
  • Click on the Create New Poll button
  • Fill up the required fields
  • Click on the Create button
Q. How to vote for a poll?

Ans. To vote for a poll, you need to do the following:
  • Click on polls on the left bar on your home page
  • Click on the question that you want to vote for and then select your choice of option
  • Click on Vote and your vote will be registered.
Q. How to view all polls?

Ans. To view all polls, you need to do the following:
  • Click on polls on the left bar on your home page
  • Click on the All polls link

PayTree & Membership

Q. What is PayTree?

Ans. PayTree is an exclusive feature of The Zuk. There are five levels of membership, viz. White, Green, Bronze, Silver, Gold. If you are a paid member, you can refer pals and earn ZECs for the same. Increase your PayTree network & start earning for the same.

Q. What are the levels of membership?

Ans. There are five types of membership:
  • White: Free Membership
  • Green: Free Membership with Mobile Number verification
  • Bronze: Subscribed Member
  • Silver: Subscribed Member
  • Gold: Subscribed Member

Q. What is the membership fees for paid members?

    Ans.
  • For Bronze members– 120000 ZECs
  • For Silver members – 175000 ZECs
  • For Gold members– 250000 ZECs

But now we are offering special promo prices which are:
  • For Bronze members– 70000 ZECs
  • For Silver members – 125000 ZECs
  • For Gold members– 200000 ZECs

Q. How do you earn from the PayTree levels?

Ans.
  • A green member inviting a green member gets 1000 ZECs.
  • A bronze member inviting a bronze member gets 5000 ZECs
  • A bronze member inviting a silver member gets 5000 ZECs
  • A bronze member inviting a gold member gets 5000 ZECs
  • A silver member inviting a bronze member gets 5000 ZECs
  • A silver member inviting a silver member gets 7500 ZECs
  • A silver member inviting a gold member gets 7500 ZECs
  • A gold member inviting a bronze member gets 5000 ZECs

Q. How do I upgrade my membership?

Ans. You can refer your pals to earn more ZECs & trade the ZECs to upgrade your account. You can also buy through the payment gateway to upgrade your account.

Q. Who gets added to my PayTree?

Ans. You can send a request to a pal to get added to your paytree. If that person registers, he/she gets added to your paytree. Similarly, if you already have someone added to your paytree and if that person adds another person to his PayTree, that person gets added directly to your PayTree.

Q. Can I choose which level I want to add someone to?

Ans. No, you cannot chose the level of connections.

Q. Up to which levels can a member earn?

Ans.
  • A Bronze member can earn up to 3 levels of the PayTree
  • A Silver member can earn up to 6 levels of the PayTree
  • A Gold member can earn up to 10 levels of the PayTree

Q. What is an opportunity account?

Ans. An opportunity account is an "accumulated" or "accrued" account. If you are not a subscribed member then you will have an opportunity account. An opportunity account gives you the details of the ZECs you could have earned if you would have been a subscribed member. The ZECs in your opportunity account will be credited, as per the eligibility of your membership, to your account if you upgrade your membership to become a subscribed member. Otherwise these ZECs will be transferred to the lost account. The ZECs are transferred to the Lost account after 1 month for each transaction.

Q. How do I change my plan?

Ans. To change your plan:
  • Click on the Account option on the top of any home page
  • Select the Change Plan option
  • Select the Plan you want to choose
  • If you do not have enough Zecs to upgrade your account, then click on the Add more ZECS button
  • Select the Pack you want to buy and click on the Buy Now button
Q. How long is the validity period of my membership plan?

Ans. The validity period of your membership plan is 1 year.

ZECs

Q. What are ZECs?

Ans. ZECs stands for Zuk E-Credits. ZECs are virtual credits which you can earn & spend on The Zuk.

Q. What are the different ways in which I can earn ZECs?

Ans. You can earn ZECs either by completing tasks, completing your profile or by inviting pals to join your PayTree network.

Q. Can I buy ZECs?

Ans. Yes, you can buy ZECs. To buy ZECs you just need to click on the Buy / Encash ZECs button on your homepage.

Q. What can I do with ZECs?

Ans. You can order tasks with ZECs or you can encash ZECs.

Q. How can I encash ZECs?

Ans. You can encash ZECs in either of the following ways:
  • Earn through your Paypal account

Q. How can I see my Transaction History?

Ans. To see your Transaction history, you can do either of the following: Click on the ZECs button on the top right of your home page Or
  • Click on the Account option on the top menu bar of your home page
  • Select the Transaction history option

Q. How are ZECs related to Membership Levels?

Ans. ZECs are not directly related to Membership levels. But to upgrade your membership, you need sufficient amount of ZECs for the membership you want to upgrade to.

Q. Can I transfer my ZECs to someone else?

Ans. No, as of now you cannot transfer your ZECs to another account.

Q. What happens to my ZECs if I delete my account?

Ans. If you delete your account without encashing ZECs, then you lose all your ZECs.

Q. Can I change the currency of my account?

Ans. Yes. But the currency change is done only for a valid reason like shifting to different country or wrongly entered while registering with TheZuk. Send an email to admin@thezuk.com specifying the reason of change. Please note that currency transfer charges are applicable and so ZECs will be deducted from your account accordingly.

Life Memories & Family Tree

Q. How do I add members to the Family Tree?

Ans. To add members to the family tree, you need to do the following:
  • Go to your profile
  • Select Family Members from the right side bar
  • Add the name of the family member
  • Select your relation with him/her
  • Click on the Save button
If the person you added is not a Zuk member, then you need to add his/her email id. A request will be sent and he/she will be added to your family tree when the person accepts the request.

Q. Can I edit the Family Tree? How?

Ans. Yes, you can edit your family tree. To edit your family tree, you need to do the following:
  • Go to your profile
  • Select Family Members from the right side bar
  • From the displayed list, select the required family member
  • Click on Manage & do the needed changes

Q. What are memories and how can I add my memories?

Ans. Life Memories are the memorable incidents/events of your life that you decide to share on The Zuk. To add life memories, you need to do the following:
  • Go to your profile
  • Select Life Memories from the right side bar
  • Fill in the required information
  • Click on the Save button

Events

Q. How do I add events to the calendar?

Ans. To add events to the calendar:
  • Click on Reminder on the right of your home page
  • Click on the Create New Event button

Q. Will Birthdays and Anniversaries be shown to me automatically?

Ans. Yes. If your pals make their birthdays & anniversaries visible, then they will be automatically shown to you on your event calendar.

Q. How do I invite pals to an event? Can I invite people who are not on The Zuk?

Ans. You can invite pals to an event in the following manner:
  • Click on Reminder on the right of your home page
  • Click on the Create New Event button
  • Fill in the required information
  • Click on the Select Guests button & select the pals you want to invite
  • Click on the Create Event button
But, you cannot add pals who are not on The Zuk

War

Q.What is War?

Ans. War is a unique feature of The Zuk that enables you to put up a photo/video, that you find striking, for a War. You also need to choose a rival with whom you will fight and declare the WAR!!! Your own & rivals' pals will vote to decide who wins the war.

Q. How can I put up a photo/video for war?

Ans. Any photo or video will have a war icon..Just click on the icon and you will be redirected to a form where you have to fill up the necessary information & choose your rival.

Q. What happens when I put up a photo/video for War?

Ans. When you choose to put up a certain photo or video for WAR, you have to choose a rival (from your pal list). Once your pal has accepted the request, the WAR starts. You can choose the WAR to be either public or private in terms of voting. Once the WAR duration comes to an end, the person with the highest number of votes wins the WAR.

Q. How can I vote for a particular photo/video put up for a War?

Ans. Click on the War option on the left hand side. When the page opens, on the top right hand side you will find the existing wars and from there you can vote for your favorite by clicking on the Vote button!!!

Q. How do I accept or reject a certain War request?

Ans. To accept or reject a certain War request, you need to:
  • Click on the War option in the left hand side
  • Select the War request on the right hand side of your War page
  • Navigate to the war request you want to accept or reject
  • Click on the Accept War Request or Cancel Request button

Q. How do I find my pending War requests?

Ans. To find your pending War requests, you need to:
  • Click on the War option in the left hand side
  • Select the War Pending on the right hand side of your War page

Q. What happens when I win a war?

Ans. When you get the maximum number of votes for a War, you are declared as the Winner by The Zuk. Once you are voted the winner, you get the ZECs after 10% is deducted from the total winning amount of ZECs.

Report Abuse

Q. How do I report abuse?

Ans. To report abuse, you need to do the following:
  • Navigate to the piece of content/photo/video you wish to report
  • Click the link Report Abuse icon icon beside the content
  • Choose an appropriate category and subcategory so as to specify on what grounds you are reporting the content
  • Click on the Report button


Q. How do I report a user?

Ans. To report a user, you need to do the following:
  • Navigate to the user's profile
  • Click the link Report User located below
  • Choose an appropriate category so as to specify on what grounds you are reporting the person
  • Click on the Report button

Q. On what grounds can I report a user/report abuse?

Ans. You can report a user or report abuse against a user on the following grounds:
  • If the person is annoying, harassing or bullying you
  • If you think the person is fake or posing to be someone else
  • If the user is posting illegal, unethical or inappropriate content
  • If the person is being rude or offensive


Q. What happens after I report abuse?

Ans. When a Zuk member is reported, The Zuk does not disclose details of the member who reported them. The Zuk effectively reviews all reports, issues warnings and cancel the membership of anyone found violating the member conduct policies.
